The TR8 is an excellent rig. It occupies less space in comparison with other rigs but it has the same robustness. Easy to assemble and for the price an excellent buy. A little movement on the connection to the seat but it is my only remark.
Really great tube rig. Easy to assemble in ~45-60 minutes, lot of customization options (tablet / button box holder are awesome) and even provides enough hiding / mounting spots for cables, power supplies etc.
The monitor stand is kind of tricky to mount to a large monitor/TV (especially if you want to use the VESA 400 mount - Jesus, who designed the VESA arm mount with screws moving under load, no locking mechanism for the arms so they move up and down even though the screws are as tight as they can be), but once its assembled, its rock solid (except the VESA arms).

Trak Racer was phasing out their inventory of the TR8 V1 so I pulled the trigger. What I received how ever was the V2. I must have made my order as they ran out of inventory so instead of Trak Racer canceling my order they sent me the V2. WIN!.
As far as the rig itself it does exactly what it advertises. I have a Simagic alpha U and P1000 pedals mounted to it. There is just the slightest flex. Packaging was great and assembly was very easy. If you want a great alternative to profile rigs that can handle a high torque DD base and 100kg loadcell pedals this is the best choice, V1 or V2.

Indeed that must have been tha case. We try to get all customers happy and as you might have ordered right at the time the old V1 was running out of stock we upgraded to the V2 instead of cancelling.

I’ve been playing racing sim games for the last 15 years. I’ve made my way from a desk setup to a wheel stand with beginner wheels and brakes. I was ready to make the jump to a “real’ rig with proper brakes and direct drive wheel base. I searched for months and chose the TR8 Pro V2. It has not disappointed me in the slightest way. It’s well built and designed. I was able to build it on my own but someone with limited experience building stuff might need assistance.
The only minor design functionality is the adjustability of the wheel base in the upward direction. If you adjust it to sit higher the hand tightened levers are obstructed. I was able to just mount it at the second to the lowest setting and it worked for me. But up/down adjustments are not tool less.
Overall , I am extremely happy with my purchase and would highly recommend. It was expensive but I’m set for years to come.
